DVD authoring questions...

I’ve just tried authoring my first DVD with DVD Architect and Nero. I made the image with DVD Architect and then burned it with Nero because DVD Architect didn’t work for the buring process.

The result is this…

On the computer it plays smoothly, but on every track the audio cuts out completely, always at around the 30-50 second mark. I have the full version of the program now, but I did most of the authoring work many months ago on a trial version of the program, then opened the file yesterday with the recently purchased full version. Could this be the cause of my first problem?

The second problem is that when I play it on the TV it odesn’t read very well and occasionally pauses for a fraction of a second. Also, I have the problem I mentioned above. And finally, one of the tracks (I didn’t bother checking them all) doesn’t even play and comes up with something which tells me something about a parental lock and something else which I’ve forgotten now. All very odd and frustrating because each time it doesn’t work I waste another blank DVD. :frowning:

Buy a pack of three DVD-RW (or DVD+RW) disks and practice with those. They’re rewriteable so you can experiment without worrying about wasting a disk.

I can’t help you with the audio problems. Don’t know what’s up with that.

When I and a friend were making our DVDs, we learned that there is a HUGE difference between DVD-R and DVD+R - the one works and the other doesn’t (of course it is different whichone works in which computer)

See what you’ve got and try with the other kind.

DVD-R are supposed to work on all DVD players. The DVD+R can be burned at higher speed but don’t work on older DVD players.
