Dual hole cranks

It looks like the dual hole cranks is not a new invention. My sister visited Iceland in the fall and bought this postcard. The text on the other side tells: “The first bicycle in Reykjavik, which dates from about 1890.” If it hadn’t lost one pedal it would have been hard to se the two holes on the picture.

Happy new year to all of you!

Best regards,
Sanne

wow excellent observance

it seems they use also a new hub / rim combinatin with 12 spokes

the rims cracked on the rear wheel at the bottom

Must’ve caught some big air.

That must be when it lost the pedal.

Must have been one hell of a crash to curl the front fender like that! Ouch!

But at least the rider was okay; check out that sweet seat suspension

And flats are no problem, since there is no tyres.

Best regards,
Sanne
