Anyone else walk their dog while riding? It’s pretty sweet. I have a 9 month old Siberian husky, and if you know huskies, they love to pull, but it’s really not bad at all. Maybe that’s just because my puppy is perfect, but hey. Give it a try, it’s an easy trick, and a lot of fun.
Oh, i’m new here btw. watch out for Michael Bolton. He goes out of his way to take out unicyclists.
I’ve never tried walking a dog while riding, but a friend of mine was chased by one while on his 29er. Apparently the dog got out and chased him for a block or so, then he got off, ran and climbed up a tree.
If you can glide or coast, then you could do that while walking a dog which would probably be fun.
Since I made that Thread back in March this year. I tried it out only once. But my Whippet dog is so Powerful and now he is less weight a bit. He’s now 19kg. Still strong for a Whippet part Greyhound dog. Shandy (That’s his name) is a bit scared with me on my uni and I still tried to get him to walk beside me while riding. Sometime’s he gets in the way when I want to ride in the back yard under my patio. I like to ride on grass but my Unicycle I got isn’t design to ride on grass. Sometime’s when I ride my Giraffe Unicycle I’d have to take it on grass to ride it. I don’t have a large backyard. I love one but when I move I intend to get a large yard. But as I said I’m going to do it again with my dog very soon. I’ll keep everyone posted onto that.
it all started about one july ago, about one year ago in july, my brother was riding around on his new 24" torker when he heard the familiar sound of a washed up 80’s pop hero…BOLTON. (that is merely based on a rumor that he had a summer camp round these parts)
So when my brother hears the limo approaching behind him, he politely (but probably not too smartly) moves into the other lane to let the limo pass. But Bolton, in all his washed up anger and frustration, swerves and narrowly misses my one-wheeled little brother.
The story continues a year later when he and I are both riding as the mysterious white limo approaches again. This time we stay in our lane, moving far out of the way. The limo slows to a crawl as we dismount and face off with the Bolton.
then he drove off and we yelled with our fists in the air “BOLTON!!!”
Now it could jst be Bolton with the vendetta, or it could be all 80’s pop heros. Either way, beware.
I’ve walked a dog on my uni a few times. It was a six months old husky. Very white and beatiful. I call it panzy. I took him to do some trials lines on the way and nearly killed him jumping off a picnic table. He’s not exactly on the bright side.
Kris does that in this video.
But, yeah, I muni with my dogs all the time and it’s awesome!! We all really enjoy it. Here’s a photo of me faceplanting in the snow with the dogs coming to my rescue.
I walked my dog on my uni once, Ive walked her on my bike tons of times tho. It’s rele funny because she is terrified of bikes and unis so she tries to stay as far away from me as possible.
I’m heading over to the Park with my Coker to do several laps with my dog Gala at 9 am. It’s too bad they allow cars in the park from 7 am to 9 am, and again from 4 to 7 pm. None on the weekends though, which is great.
She can easily do 10 miles (3 laps), and stays ahead of me the whole way.
I don’t quite have her trained to “heel” and stay just beside me. And she still tries to chase squirrels…
I posted this on Rec.Sport a couple months ago.
