I’m sure that after people started falling and the track started getting wet it got alot harder.
Japan has the most unicyclists of any country on Earth, and it’s very mountainous. Unfortunately there isn’t much MUni riding there, as probably 99% of Japan’s unicyclists learned to ride in their schools, and probably only ever rode on flat stuff. Too bad for that guy. He could have won the washing machine, or whatever was waiting for him if he’d made it over that little ramp! 
It looks like it was the same guy three times. The second time, his tire was wet on the ramp. The third time, his tire was wet and the ramp was even wetter (from him falling on it the second time). Very slippery!
How come contestants on American game shows generally don’t like being tossed in water? They do it in Japan a lot!
