So as the title suggests, I have a bunch of pallets and other wood things outside to do trials stuff. Up to this point I’ve been covering it all with a plastic tarp every night but that is becoming a pain. I was wondering if pallets are water treated or if water damages and weakens them?
Lick each pallet. If it doesn’t taste like pine, it’s probably been treated.
(Real answer: not treated. They’ll rot if continually exposed to water.)
I did think of putting some fence wood treatment crap on mine but as I get them free from the local industrial estate I can’t be bothered, although having them match the fence panels and blend in with the garden may appease the Mrs who to be date has been very supportive of my trials playground in the garden
