I saw this thing the other day and now I’m obsessed. I had been thinking of some way to add handle bars and stuff to a uni and this thing is exactly what I want.
That unicycle is most likely a design concept made for the sake of design. It is probably not intended to ever be ridden.
Cannondale makes a suspension fork called the Lefty. So one sided forks are possible and they can work in real life. I don’t know of any one sided fork unicycles that have been made and ridden. The only one I’ve seen is the one in the picture you linked to.
Thats pretty cool looking. Yeah I don’t think that would work too well, I think its just a concept unicycle. The lefty is pretty cool but people don’t like them that much, they aren’t so durable. Mine as well just buy a regular downhil mountain bike for the same price.
I agree it wouldn’t work too well, it may ride fine but loking at the crank to wheel ratio means unless this thing was designed for running up and down very steep hills then it would have been very slow, which would kindof put to waste the effort on the carbon frame etc.
I was going to ask if you wanted one that works, or just the one in the photo? It probably doesn’t.
But it sure looks cool! A big handlebar setup like that would be more appropriate on a Coker or otherwise road unicycle. That much handlebar would seem to be overkill on dirt, especially with such a small wheel.
I guess you’re right, but maybe something like that would be cool if it were combined with the E-unicycle…
I may just have to look into that…
