That was very nice. Well done.
Question, though. How in the name of God did you manage to change shirts in the middle of that routine. Amazing!!!
Thanks for sharing. I tried cigar boxes a number of years back but never got anywhere with them.
Very well done!
I did a routine like that years ago, but without those tee-shirts. The tee-shirts really make it work!

Great boxing! And the shirts theme added to the interest. Next time try a setting where the main light source is not behind you; you’ll be a lot easier to see.
Ah thanks for the comments folks!
wise words John, will bear that in mind, however the key background was the washing line in order to maximise the plain lazy brand exposure…hence the t shirt changing…hence sponsors
If you like what you see head over to plainlazy.com for the rest of their products.
Cheers guys
Very good. I especially liked the jump rope move and the foot grab.
I used to perform boxes
I like the “hop over the foot block”, that’s new to me.
I used to swing all 3 boxes around the back. You just swing the whole set to one side and catch them behind your back, and back around the other side.
Another fun one is “around the world”. Let go of the boxes and as they fall grab the left box sharply and fast with your right hand. Move it down and around the other 2 falling boxes, so that it it ends up in the same place it started, only now your arms are crossed.
I used to do the “jump over and back hop”. As I got older and fatter, sometimes I would screw it up and land on the box, smash LOL. Had to give that one up.
Excellent! I believe Sean (Shug) does that as well as part of his show.
Awesome stuff! You should try doing that on a unicycle
I love Plain Lazy t-shirts, in fact I’m wearing one right now. How odd
You make it look easy which is the art of prop manipulation.
I’ve always wanted to learn boxes but its never made it to the top of the list.
That cigar box bit has been around for ages and is always a crowd pleaser…and HARD to do well! WC Fields was a master at it, and juggling in general. This is from 1934, when he was 55 years old. The whole vid is awesome, and very funny. The cigar box part starts at about 2:55…
One word WOW! I knew WC Fields to be a comedic genius and that he did prop manipulation but I never realized how good he was. The use of sound effects, the other people, music. Showmanship at its best.
Is off to Wikipedia to read more about him.
The great Magonical impressed me a lot
Until in 1981 I was hanging out in Golden Gate Park at the Sunday Juggler meet. There was this guy there named Charlie Brown, and he just loved boxes. I was more of a ball guy, but I was performing boxes, and me and Charlie became friends.
I saw him a few years later at a convention, and he was box hot. No contact with the guy for many years, but I searched Charlie Brown cigar box and found this. Have you seen better? , I haven’t. Gotta love old Charlie. Anyway, I just found this.
Very nice routine.
Like JJuggle I also messed around with cigar boxes for a while, didn’t really put in the kind of effort required and didn’t get anywhere.
Ended up giving my boxes to a kids charity.
I’m kinda wondering if anyone of them ever picked it up.
Nice one for the comments very kind and constructive good to see theres some shared interest out there.
I remember reading that at the turn of the (last) century, he was the highest-paid juggler in the world, making about $1 million a year (in 1900 dollars).
Kris and Bella Kremo… maybe. I saw some old films of them doing similar routines, side-by-side and synchronized. But that was a great routine by Charlie, making those boxes look way too easy.
I made a set myself when I was doing shows, but mostly for the 9-box balance. I decorated up a set of Toys-R-Us Back-to-School boxes with reinforcement, felt and mylar, and they looked pretty nice. But not strong enough to learn the juggling moves…
