Documentary crowd-funding

So, we’ve just begun crowd-funding for a documentary on the plight of Tunisian migrants that have gone missing during or after making the journey across to Europe following the tumult of the revolutions that swept North Africa last year.

We’ll be spending three months in Tunisia and Italy meeting the families of missing migrants and then heading off to find out more about what may have happened to them by visiting detention centres and migrant communities in Italy.

With the film we aim to show the ridiculousness of the media portrayal of migrants as either good or bad depending on their reasons for taking the risk of moving to a new country and highlight the continuing problems for Tunisians since the fall of Ben Ali.

If folks here are interested in migration issues or the Arab Spring movements please do consider helping us out with a donation, or, if you’re skinty-poo, spread the link to the crowd-funding page to folks you think might be interested in it.

Cheers!

Why do I have the feeling someone might end up in the same Italian prison as these migrants?

This sounds dangerous and informative. A great combo! I sent you my lunch money for today.

Be safe.

Thanks, chappy!

We will end up in some detention centres but hopefully just as visitors…
