do you wear a watch?

do you wear a watch? i don’t

I never have. I want a pocket watch, everyone loves those.

I know someone who wears one of those as a watch. i loled when i saw it.

Yes, i wear a watch.
Im high school i had a pocket watch until i lost it, then i went back to a mornal wrist watch.

Seiko and Rolex. I have them, but dont wear them too much. It kinda goes in phases for me, cause sometimes ill wear a watch for a year, then just not want to wear one for a few years.

My cellphone is usually what I check for the time.

Do you think anyone is so in touch with their body clock that they can accurately(15 minutes range) tell the time? Is it even possible?

That would be interesting.

Interesting topic.

I’m a long-time watch-wearer.
At one point my idea of a holiday was to take my watch off and not shave for a couple of days.

I got into a bit of a hilly phase and stopped wearing a watch.
I got back into it when I found a Tellytubby watch that looked a bit like a Swatch. So much that jewellers would repair it for free, even after I told them that it wasn’t a Swatch.
The casing eventually broke, but I got 6 years of service from a R30 watch (roughly the price of a Big MacMeal and an extra can of Coke).
I bought this watch while doing promotional work in a casino.
The ‘Tables’ people were very impressed that all the numbers are (apparantly) in the correct order. This seems to not be the case with a majority of novelty versions.
I found it at a fleamarket and just recently had the ‘works’ replaced with a better quality one.
I should have this for a while.

Despite being righthanded I wear my watch on my right wrist.
This is mostly as a result of a rash I developed under my watchstrap when I was about 11. I switched while it healed and never went back.

No watch. I carry a mobile. All mobiles will show the current time on their displays. So why should I carry a second device?

It’s probably become more of a fashion item than a time-keeper by now.
I do still prefer being able to check the time without having to fish my phone from the front pocket of my jeans.
It’s also good to have the time available at times when your phone is turned off.

But I suspect we’ll meet many people asking your exact question as this thread continues.

+1

I, too, gave up my watch sometime after I started carrying a mobile phone around. Though in my case I wore a watch until it got broken and then didn’t bother to replace it as I had the mobile.

It did take me a couple of months to stop looking at my wrist for the time.

i got given a pocket sundial as a gag gift for christmas

i dont really need one ,i can usally tell the time fro mthe sun

 I didn’t know you were this guy.

I used to wear a watch during the day, but the band broke sometime this year. I have not repaired the band and have been living without a wrist watch since.

One of my friends kept asking me for the time for a good couple months after I stopped wearing it. Surprisingly, I find that living without a watch or time keeping device isn’t much of a disability. There are clocks and other people with cell phones everywhere.

I had a friend whose internal clock was accurate to +/-2minutes 24/7 even when under the influence of psychedelics. It was unbelievable and I tested him on many occasions under all kinds of conditions including waking him up at 3:00AM and asking him what time it was.

My internal clock is accurate to about +/-12 hours. In other words, it’s worthless. But I do not wear a watch. There are plenty of clocks around any time I care what time it is which is rarely.

My watch, that I own but rarely wear, is a Lego.

You can always ask for the time. Watches are for other people.

I haven’t worn a watch in a long, long time. I enjoy not knowing the precise time. It’s kind of like not wearing socks.

Now, my car has a clock, my phone has a clock, my unicycle has a clock. And I know where all the clocks are on the Wildwood boardwalk (movie theater ticket booth, tourism center, Littly Nicky’s pizza, etc).

nope, sold my rollie a few years ago, wear a steel/brass watch for formal occasions, other than that don’t really need one.

i wear one (most of the time)
