Some of you may know that I ordered a
two-wheel stack from Dave Mariner after
seeing the really nice frame he used
to make a three-wheel stack. It’s finally
arrived (in two parcels on two days).
All the other two-wheelers I’ve seen
have a fork extension fitted to a regular
unicycle in place of a bearing cup. This makes
for a potential weak spot at the upper bearings,
which Roger and Rocket have both mentioned.
Obviously the forks must come apart to
gain access to the wheels, but Dave has
achieved this without sacrificing strength.
In addition, the lower wheel can be adjusted
in a slot for optimal contact pressure between
the tyres.
> Orders a two wheeler and it takes months to arrive…
I didn’t say that! It has been months but, to be fair, only a few
weeks longer than Dave said when I ordered.
Tried out the beast in a local tennis court last night. Lost count
of the number of times I was left hanging onto the chainlink
fence by my fingertips. Owowowow! Mr. Wiggins made a
slightly better impression on the passersby.
> Thinks… mustn’t go to a restaurant with this bloke… I’d starve
> before the soup arrives!
How do you think I feel? My appetite is noticably larger than
yours.
