Dirt jumping, high jump improvements, and gallery additions...

We only had Gary and I turn up to this week’s ride so we joined a bunch of mountain bikers and headed to the local dirt jumps. I’d never tried jumping before and had heaps of fun. There was one great little jump that I rode up to as fast as I could (but slowed down when I reached it) and jumped off. I went further than I expected. I also tried rolling over a steep, high one. It took about 10 trys but I got it in the end.

There was a long cement block sort of thing that, once I put a bit of wood on the top, was about 45cm high (probably slighly lower). I hopped up onto it and also tried some pedal grabbing (which I still can’t do) and some crank stalling. I was really happy because my record was 43cm but only hopping straight up, not hopping onto something.

Looking back at the photos and videos from today, my muni realy is good looking :). I’ve got photos of it just standing there but these are the first photos and videos of it in action. The yellow frame really looks good (but of course I’m not biased).
