I am geting a new Digital Camera today. What should i look for in one to use to make small unicycle moives and take pictures??
Cameras take crappy vids.
Get a camera with at least 3x OPTICAL zoom.
Your going to need accessories too.
(Which can add up)
IE: Extra batteries, battery charger, Flash card, etc.
If you need vids, get a Video Recorder.
umm… i had been tould that thay took better video clips because thay had more mega pexiales? how many fps should it have? how do i tell how fast the shutter time is? oh ya the one i am looking at has 3x optical zoom and is 5 mega pexiales.
the best bet is to find a shop with a helpfull assistant who knows his field
5megapixel and 3Xoptical zoom is a fairly good camera
going (and spending) beyond that takes u into the hobbyist photographer class
there’s a lot of knowledge about digicams floating around these fora
i’m sure they’ll start waking up soon
it might help if u could give an indication of your budget and which camera u’re looking at at the moment
Read the specifiactions. (manual if possible)
Usually, internet retailers will list capabilities.
They will usually list ‘movie formats’.
The megapixels have nothing to do with movie output.
I find that 3.1 makes big enough pictures for me.
(5 mega has to be huge)
So, I end up reducing pictures for internet use.
um… idk the modal or brand i am looking for it right now but it is $100 at a wholesale store called costco. I am going there to day so i will probably buy it to day. What are good specs for a digital camera with video options?
My cam is a 2 megapixel and it takes good enough pix for me (crappy movies, though). My grandpa has a Canon camera that was only a little over $200 and it takes better movies than a lot of digital camcorders!!! I even blew it up to my whole screen and I could barely see any pixelation. It has great sound, too. Anyway, here are some sample pix from my Olympus D-390 that is only 2 megapixels. They’re sized down for the forums, but they were originally shot at full rez:

This is the camera i use to film my stuff http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/sonydscf828/ Its the sony F828 It has 8 megapixles, 7x zoom and the movie mode is pretty good.
I have tried to use this one (a step down)http://www.dcresource.com/reviews/sony/dsc_f717-review/ Its the sony F717 and has 5 megapixles with a 5x zoom and the movies are so bad you cant tell whats going on.
So high mega pixles doesnt mean it has a good movie mode. My mom has a little hand held minotla camera that takes way better movies than that lower sony and the minolta is like 2 or 3 megapixles i think.
so what should i look for?
something solid. (i’ve dropped mine loads while filming uni’ing)
or cheap.
I would get a Video camera with a Picture taking option.

It is only $0.02, but the shipping is like $30 i think because it ships from the UK. Why is it being sold for so cheap?
