The mocks are for this reason, if u get bad in the mocks u need to do more work for the real exams.

1 problem (now this makes me sound thick but…) i did and do work and i did revise
Its not the end of the world getting low grades in a mock exam. It can help you and the school decide what level paper you should sit in some subjects ( like maths). It can also show up areas of weakness within a subject. If your mocks are marked in school then your teachers can see which bits of the subject are causeing you problems or if the problem is your exam technique. Both problems are solveable or at least improvable.
Try not to get tooo down about it.
Keep on uniing

Yeah i found the mocks harder then the real thing but i aint saying much i want to to well!lol

Mocking mocks
Absolutley everyone, almost without exception did badly in our mocks at my school. As they were marked in school we suspected them of giving us “motivation grades” (like, too low to make us think we had to do loads extra work. So absolutley nothing to worry about. (I will be able to confirm or er unconfirm this when we get our proper gcses results back in approximatley a while(a little known imperial measurment equal to a certain number of metric moments))
Seriously though, no worries about them.

Re: deverstated.
Devastated.
Anyway, I dunno what mocks are. The way you’re talking about them, they sound like practices for exams. That’s too bad.
Hey Laura,
Wouldnt worry! Mocks and mock papers re much harder then the actual thing. The good thing about the mocks though, is that you can work on the importance areas which you need, or thing you can do well in, Maths for example.
I had a maths tutor guy fro a few months which helped me loads. You dont need to get your own tutor, but you can make sure you understand everything (well, most things) which are the most important bits of a subject.
Anyways, who cares about grades? You could just run away to the circus Also, we do need thick people in society, to empty bins, wash toilets and work in shops. (No offence here to anyone who works as any of the above, but you dont exactly need good grades to have a job like that!)
I’ve just finished my GCSE’s, so ive got a REALLY long summer, and get results on 26th Aug. I’m off to the Jobs Centre today to try and find a job for over the summer I need money! I, at this very moment in time, have £2.02 in my wallet. I owe Roger £10 for cranks, and I’m going out tomorrow night
Oh well…
Joe,
Re: Re: deverstated.
To us older folks living in the USA, What are mocks? Maybe the equivalent to MCAS?
‘The Mocks’ are mock exams of the GCSE’s (General Certificate of Secondary Eductation) which all 16 your olds have to take in their 11th year of school.
The mock exam papers are set by the same people who set the actual exams themselves (some exam boards vary), and are generally harder than the ‘real’ GCSE.
It is my book return day today, and I registared as ‘Looking for work’ at my connxions office, so I am no long a high school pupil any more! WOOHOO!
