I broke my learner hopping kerbs, I broke the seat in half and one crank is slightly bent. Also the pedals don’t turn so well.
i have been through 3 sets of pedals and 2 seats 1 seat post
so! what’re you upgrading too? A nice shiny trials uni? 
I had a really good learner uni, UDC club freestyle, still fin to ride occasionally

Ah I got the UDC club freestyle too (24" version) august, was actually a lovely unicycle.
Pedals snapped at the spindle after about a month though, replaced with Odyssey plastics which are actually awesome, but then over the months I starting having a problem which occured more and more commonly, the crank would loosen, eventually it happened every 10 minutes! I took it apart and noticed the square tapered bit from the hub was horribly twisted (from curbs and hopping I assume), now if I want to fix it i’m going to have an buy a new set of cranks, new hub and put it all together.
I pushed the boat out and bought a Kris Holm 24" three weeks ago as my all round (street/muni/trials/flatland) for it’s reliability - LOVE IT.

i love it but it is heavy here we have very rootie muddy steep trails so that makes it worse
your post is irrelevant. His uni aint broke, its dead.
