This year, thousands of outstanding youth won’t be able to join President Bush as special guests at this year’s White House Easter Egg Hunt on the South Lawn because these children had their lives blown apart by insidious unexploded American-made ordinance, in places like Cambodia, Vietnam, Afghanistan, Iraq and Lebanon.
For those who can’t come, we’re going to have a Cluster Bomb Hunt directly south of the festivities. Bring the kids! (After, we’ll have a WMD hunt and bin Laden hunt for the adults.)
Protesters’ Easter Message
We the peaceseekers send greetings to those observing the joyous holiday of Easter. On Easter, Christians around the world remember the fundamental message of their religion (and all religions) - Peace - and that your reap what you sow (but sometimes innocent children reap what you’ve sown). So, we proclaim to stop paying for, making, selling and even donating (!) weapons that are designed to kill civilians and that lay in wait for a child’s curiosity to rip apart their lives.

Billy, as incredible as you are, sometimes I wonder if you’re actually a sane thinking human being. Anything more in your post might have stretched you all the way up to idiot status this time.
Congrats, you’ve managed to push one of my buttons this morning. Now I’m going to wander off in another general direction and go fix my shower.
Billy is not making this up. And, as is sometimes the case, I agree with his and the events’ sentiments. I will not be there but I will be teaching peace to children at my UU congregation tomorrow. For whatever good that does.
Okay, Billy. I apologize for my ill-informed response. I didn’t realize the event was real.
What I have a problem with is your subversive way of getting to an announcement of such an event. Although your initial statement,
is a statement of fact, it smacks of anti-Americanism and blame. That’s what I don’t appreciate. It seems to be a dark side of your personality. You seem to enjoy trying to push buttons and get under people’s skin, and usually I can just ignore it. You must have caught me just right that time. I’ll try to be more tolerant from now on.
By the way, I must have missed the part where the cluster bomb hunt was sponsored by Christians. Sorry.
