Bad news for me: I have exhausted almost all the venues/ chances to manufacture DAKOROMAN DRIVE SYSTEM and APPLICATIONS in Australia, due to various factors beyond my will.
Those who could do something together with me/ experts, machinists, investors/ companies/ just read the posts for “dakoroman”, have totally ignored my emails/ intentions to show/ prove my claims by the moment I asked them to sign a simple NDA.

Soon, some of my Provisional Patent Applications will lapse, if I do not transform them in "FULL PATENTS/ the prices are prohibitive.
In these conditions, 95% I have decided to bring DAKOROMAN DRIVE SYSTEMS and APPLICATIONS in “PUBLIC DOMAIN”.
I have started to re-write everything in a new format/ not “patent style” and I will have Copyright for these creations/ products, in a few weeks.
Other forums will have them as well/ DAKOROMAN DRIVE SYSTEM is the heart of any HPV’s on wheels/ HPBoats, etc, also IHPVA, magazines, so on.
The aim is indeeed CONVERTIBLE, FOLDING, PORTABLE, TRANSPORTABLE, COMPACT, REASONABLE PRICES, STRONG, BEAUTIFUL DESIGNS, HUMAN POWERED VEHICLES, TO ENHANCE OUR LIFES.
You will have the opportunity to enjoy/ ask questions/ make jokes/ pay back my claims/ try your best shots/ develop even more my creations, etc.

so is this a hub or something, because i dont see how it can fit in everything, a bicycle has sprockets and free wheels, a unicycle doesnt. so being convertible would be awkward, its literally building a wheel, which isnt the easiest thing to do.

Sorry I didn’t sign and return your NDA. It was very restrictive, so I didn’t think it would allow me to study your idea and be able to talk to other unicyclists about whether there was anything potentially useful there. This is information we are still wondering about. I’m sorry if you thought that I or my family were lining up to fund prototypes or something. That could come after seeing what the idea is, but not likely from me as I’m not in the manufacturing business.
As you probably know, in the 100+ year history of cycling, there have been thousands of “good ideas” to revolutionize human powered transport. Only a very small percentage of them make it to market, and of them, only a very small percentage actually revolutionize anything. Most tend to be interesting ideas that are either too heavy, too inefficient or too expensive to be useful. Many others are designed to increase the comfort of people who hardly ever ride, again usually by making the vehicle a lot heavier.
You propose an “improved” drive system for unicycles. Many of us unicyclists are very smart people. The smartest of us (in the engineering/machining area) have come up with some geared and 2-speed hubs, but their usefulness is limited due to high cost. People like Harper, Schlumpf and Kris Holm know how expensive it is to make prototypes or go into production, but they at least were able to tell us what they were thinking of, and/or show us the thing when they got one built.
So far, nothing from Dakoroman except vague claims. Very vague. Just what is it you’re trying to get built? If you’re afraid to tell anyone, it’s not going to happen unless you do it yourself. And then you’ll still have to show us before we’ll be impressed. In other words, you have cried “wolf” long and loud. Now we need to see one, or at least a drawing of one…
The NDA I have posted for you to sign is nothing but a simple/ common NDA used for disclosing informations to potential manufacturers, interested people, investors, curious people, publishers, partners, etc, etc.
This NDA is important for me to prove that I did not disclose informations in PUBLIC DOMAIN; in that case I can not transform Provisional Patent Applications in Full Patents and have a retrospective date.
I did show DAKOROMAN DRIVE SYSTEM and APPLICATIONS to companies from Australia, inclusive from USA, also private people, all of them signed the NDA, no problem.
By signing the NDA you do not have any obligations to manufacture, invest, pay anything, comit to special task, just understand my position under the Australian Patent System/ type ipaustralia in any search engine.
Mr. John FOSS, you have never signed a NDA/ please ask the expert Unicyclists in this “field” to explain it to you.
No, I did not expect you/ your family/ anyone else from Unicyclist Forum to line up to fund my projects, nor I have asked any money via strange schemes, tricking somebody; my upbringing is "soldier= Navigator= Naval Officer, simple I can not do certain things, against my principles.
All my claims about DAKOROMAN DRIVE SYSTEMS and APPLICATIONS incorporate logic, common sense, respect for every unicyclist, especially those who have done something to improve/ push ahead: you, Greg Harper, Cristian Schlumpf, Cris Holm and probably many others who participated at least with a view/ perspective/ new solutions, etc.
Indeed, there are smart, pure bread/ thinkers/ analists/ engineers/ machinists on Unicyclist Forum, I take off my hat, I admire them and their creations.
Remember, I am also in love with these “mechanisms”, I am also concious about the rate of succes for new inventions/ products.
If I realy insist is just because I BELIEVE that DAKOROMAN DRIVE SYSTEM and APPLICATIONS can improve/ revolutionise unicycles and other HPV’s.
That is not showing disrespect for others; in general technology improves step by step, so probably/ I hope, someone else will use my concepts to reach new levels/ products.
Mr. John FOSS, I want to send you the projects/ to study them only: if you consider that they are good and represent a huge improvement, you decide if it is the case for any other future options.

And signing that NDA thing is a commitment and work, in my books. You have to keep it a secret, once you know it. Can be harder than it seems. Plus, they have to spend time studying your work and then analysing it and its implications and making conclusions. And then they can’t even talk about it?
What did those Australian companies(USA included) say about your DARKOSTRICHPLAN MISSILES?
Non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) are a double edged sword for both parties. It’s a must for the disclosing party if they want to ensure the protection of their rights to the invention, but it has the downside of the other party backing away due to the restrictions. For the receiving party, it can produce a favorable future relationship, or it could severely limit future activities in the industry. In John’s case, he may find himself limited in consulting with others about future unicycling equipment.
I’ve done business dealings where I had to decide whether I wanted to sign an NDA. Do I sign an NDA so that the other party can disclose their ideas to me, which may convince me that it’s very beneficial to do business with them in the future, or should I not sign it due to the risk of their ideas being obvious and then limiting what I can do without an arrangement with them in the future.

Dakoroman: most of the Australian potential manufacturing companies I have contacted were small engineering/ machining companies, I was interested to make components, especially those retrofitable/ attachable to any unicycle type IN MINUTES= 62 seconds.
The Australian market for HPV’s is very small, the population is 20 millions people, for a small company, to ask them to develop/ create a niche market is too much, simple not realistic.
I have contacted Mr. Roger DAVIES/ roger@unicycle.com / NIMBUS/ UW/ etc, offering them to make all these products: no email reply back.
Or Mr. Florian Schlumpf, same result.
DAHON, the biggest manufacturer of folding bicycles replied that after 25 years on the market, they prefer to export technology, not to buy. OK!
The biggest USA bicycle company/ including folding, replied that they have invested a lot in their own designs/ concepts/ products, already on the “roll” for new catalog and it is too late to start new products “at that moment”.
IVAN, people/ companies/ corporations/ politicians/ organisations have their own agendas: the real impact to the market will be seen/ felt when DAKOROMAN DRIVE SYSTEM and APPLICATIONS will hit the market, in any form will happen.

I propose to Mr. John FOSS to sign the NDA for a limited period of time only, just to be able to see/ read DAKOROMAN projects.
If he will find them interesting/ valuable, we can discusss if it is the case, if not, he MUST NOT disclose the informations for about two- three 2-3 weeks, when I will bring them myself in PUBLIC DOMAIN.
