For those outside the “world” of American Baseball, the Chicago Cubs haven’t won the World Series since 1908. In Back To The Future Part II, it is predicted that “the Cubbies” would win in 2015. Well, they were only off by a year!
I don’t really care about a flying car that much (people are barely competent to drive on flat ground, let alone in three dimensions). What I’d really like is a Mr. Fusion!

I kept thinking of James Barr’s interview with Jack Reacher in Lee Childs’ book, “One Shot.”
“I can’t remember,” Barr said. “There’s nothing there. I remember that winning run, and that’s all. The announcers were going crazy. You know how they are. They were kind of incredulous. I mean, what a stupid way to lose a ballgame. But it’s the Cubs, right? They were saying they always find some way to lose.”
The Cubs let him down last night.

Wow! I hadn’t seen that. For 50 years, there were “jet packs” that could loft a person for about 20 seconds max. This looks far more viable!

Anyone with any sense at all realizes that anyone or anything other than Clinton or Trump would be preferred. Biff fits the bill. He’s got my vote.
