CRT or LCD

So what are the pro’s and cons between CRT and LCD monitors other than
size and price?

I’m leaning twards a Viewsonic 17" (CRT) that’s around $200. If I get a
bigger moniter I’ll have to change my plan on getting a gig of DDR
memory. More mem and a 17" might be more bank for the buck so to speak.

Re: CRT or LCD

I just bought a new monitor and went with the CRT, which are still
superior in color and clarity unless you want to spend a whole lotta
money… most desktop LCD’s still look washed out like laptop screens.

Re: CRT or LCD

I love my 17" samsung flatpanel . Very clear and great colors. But then
again, I was upgrading from the cheapest 17" (15" viewable) CRT that I could
find 2 years ago.

That depends. How big is your desk?

Re: CRT or LCD

LCD all the way. I use an IBM T70 LCD and the colors are good and doesn’t
take up much space. Wasn’t too expensive either.
CRT is cheaper, but I think that’s the only thing they have going for them.

For good reasons, no notebook is available with a CRT
