Crime Spree .....

Let’s see now, as punishment for having stolen someone’s unicycle, we’ve
collectively sentenced the thief to:

“Ride a ‘Red’ 12 Footer, with Toe Clips, and No Seat, with a bent rim, flat
tire, and loose chain ring, without a helmet, on Ice??”

Well, I’d buy tickets to THAT EVENT coz that’s something that even SEM or DUSTIN
couldn’t do!!! Come to think of it, just the unicycle itself would be a
nasty-looking thing worth a look.

I’ve a feeling the theif would rather just do 10 years in the pen …

I think you may be thinking of a 16 or 18 footer. Tom had a 24 footer he built
in the late 70’s, but I think he only rode it a few times. When I visited his
house in early 1983 it was already rusting away.

Then he had an 18 footer, which he brought to unicycle meets in the early 80’s.
It was the rust-oleum red one with the big cable-type structural members
holding it stiff.

In 1984 he built a pair of 16/22 footers, one for him and one for Chuck (Chaz)
Marquette. I rode one of those in 1986, at 16’.

No matter what size Gerard was riding, as we all know now, he was darn lucky to
get away without a scratch!

Sounds like an act at the British Uni Convention Show, this years theme, stupid
tricks that might not work.

Re: Crime Spree …

Close!! It is a 12 footer, and it is blue with a seat. The chain isn’t loose,
and it is still for sale. I am the owner (Gregory Poche) not to be confused with
my older brother Gerard who took that death defying GIANT leap the first day
that I got the 12 footer. I’ve seen Gerard jump off of Tom Millers 26 footer
“Not a scratch!” We were alot younger then!!! 12 Footer is reccomended for
persons 25 and under. It can be seen at http://go.to/stayontop

Re: Crime Spree …

I also rode Tom Millers (26 ft.?) at the 1980 NUC in (Kokomo?) IN. As far as I
can remember, I was told it was 26’. I mounted against a wooden type light post.
All I know for sure is that the top of the light post was at my waist! I rode
aproximately 50m out and back to the light. IT WAS THE SCARRIEST THING I HAVE
EVER DONE IN MY LIFE!! hehe! Stay on top! Gregory Poche’

Gregory- Out of curiosity (I’ve ordered a giraffe, so I’m not about to buy
another), how much are you asking (roughly)? Who on earth has a 26 foot uni
-and- most people break bones after a 2.5 story drop!

Yeah Right!! And you’ve gotta see the ramp to ramp UNI jump I just did, flew
over 9 bodies and landed successfully!

>I’m not worthy!

And I’m sure that Wayne had a unicycle somewhere in the back of that
powder-blue “PACER!!”

P.S. What’s the most number of bodies anyone has ever “REALLY” jumped ramp to
ramp without killing someone?
