cranky cranks

i bought a unicycle from unicycle.com. every time i ride, bolt that
holds the left crank on loosens up. any ideas?

What sort of cranks are they? Splined or square taper? If they are square taper maybe you could clean the threads and apply some red or blue loctite to the bolt before tightening it up again. Otherwise you can ring Unicycle.com and they should be able to talk you through some sort of solution.

If it’s a BOLT then do you have a splined crankset?
You have to sufficiently tighten the bolt. I don’t know of a
prescribed torque but quite tight is right. I think it’s quite unusual
for such bolts to work loose with every ride though.

Otherwise it’s a NUT and you have a cotterless crankset (with square
tapers).
You have to sufficiently tighten the nut. The nut should be tightened
at around 40 lb.ft. If it keeps coming loose, apply loctite. Oh, and
never ride with a loose crank, or you will likely damage the square
taper beyond repair.
