Crank threads ripped out again = major frustration

So, it turns out that my wheel is definitely on correctly. The cranks are correct, both L and R, and they match up with the pedals. The guy who put them on, who’s been in the business a long time, assured me that he didn’t overtighten or cross-thread. Perhaps it is these pedals. When the Nimbus X cranks come I’ll put in new, higher-quality pedals. We’ll see if this fixes the problem. I guess I’ll try to go a little lighter on it too, but I’m not going to stop hopping curbs. I really feel like I should be able to do at least that.

Thanks again for all the advice everyone.

just for the record here.

i did have a Torker DX come with a defective pedal. the threads were flattened like it got rolled over by the dye twice.

i noticed before full install, but without experiance i can see someone just cranking it into the crank without much thought.

i cant remember if it was my 20 or 24 DX. either way, always check the threads and if it gets tighter going in at some point back it out and re-check.
