i got to ask . just got a cheap uncycle a month ago and have been riding it . did not think i would pick it up as fast as i did . thats why i got a cheap one . i just looked at the cranks and they are not a 180 degree apart is this a unicycle thing or is it just cheap . maybe i just bent them i don’t know . thanks !! jw
Congratulations on the quick progress! It is likely that you have bent the hub axle or cranks. This is common with cheaper unicycles.
If it’s a cottered axle, the cotter pins might just be in wrong. If they both face the same way (both heads up at the same time), that’ll do it. If you can’t find cotter pins in your cranks, that’s not the issue. Then go to the bent (twisted) axle theory. If the cranks are noticeably out of alignment with each other, your axle may be fatigued and ready to break at any time. Be nice to it. Then again, it might not be cracked/fatigued, in which case you can keep riding it for a long time.
they are bent . thanks for the help . its all good though because now i can get me something better .
dude , i like your tip trick . i will be watching them a lot …
Thanks, I’m glad you like it!
This happened with my first unicycle. The hub twisted. If you start hopping off of stuff this is probably in your future.
