Crank length when learning

I’m just learning on a 20".
I have seen a few people say that 140mm cranks are a bit long to be learning on.

What’s your opinion?

Going to be ordering a few bits from udc soon so may as well add to the list.

Comments/suggestions welcome.

Learn with what you’ve got. It won’t matter much. Persistence is what matters most.

Once you’re riding around, then play with your gear.

There is nothing wrong with using 140s on a 20" to learn.

You probably already know this but longer cranks will give you more basic control but make the ride more jerky and increase your chance of pedal strikes.

Shorter cranks will help you spin smoother at the expense of torque.

+1

On a 20, 125s would be ideal.
