Exactly. Who would want to sit on a bike seat while eating? Not a comfortable or stable seat for that style if sitting. A quick and easy bike rack system right next to the tables would work out better.

I think it was just thrown together to show the concept, not to impress with Photoshop technique. But I agree that the idea of eating a meal while parked atop your bicycle is a bit silly. Also unstable. If the bike is held at the front wheel, that’s fine for a riderless bike, but it’s not very solid if you’re still sitting on it.
Mind you, Japanese commuting bikes have more comfortable seats than road bikes. They’re a lot more suitable for sitting up and eating on. But I don’t see it as a way to reduce what they call “bike pollution” in the big Japanese cities.
Man, you can ride a unicycle! For sure you can maintain your balance and stability in that.
