Converse shoes?

I’ve noticed that there area few riders who use these high top converse shoes and am wondering, Do they supply good ankle suport and do they help to prevent the cliping from hittin the splined cranks?? Any help will be appreciated.

I have never used them but, I think people wear them mainly for freestyle because they are flexible and thin, allowing you to feel the wheel and stuff better.

I don’t thing they are good for trials or Muni because there thin sloe will hurt your feel landing drops, and be less efficient for hopping.

For Trials and Muni I recommend “Etnies Rooftop 3” they are designed by a BMX guy for BMX. The have very wide outsole that covers the whole pedal for maximum traction. They are very well padded and the out sole is very firm, when you land drops your feet don’t flex around the pedals at all but at the same time the insole has some “G2 system” that absorbs impacts very good. The tread is very grippy also and since the shoe is firm, more of you energy is transferred to the pedals anstead of the shoe just bending.

SO where do i get these shoes, or how much?

Dude those are my shoes of choice. They run from about 20-40 bucks depeding on which one you buy, accually i wear my lowtops for riding bu high tops would be even better.

My problem isnt really my foot hurting, I never really havethat problem, I dont think these etinies will suply any ankle support, but maybe im wrong, does anyone know of a good ankle supporting shoe?

If I ever buy Chuck’s for riding again, it’ll be THESE FOR SURE. I try to work my black and yellow scheme into all sorts of things.

Although, Vans makes a Chukka boot thats padded, high-top and has the waffle pattern. Plus, it comes in… you guessed it… black and yellow.

here you go buddy

if anything, go for the hi topped chucks. but i seriously doubt they’re ability to protect the ankle.

sorry. i meant ‘their ability’.

i use them but only for freestyle, never for muni…Tack boots do that best.
