Please help. I confuse about putting Images in some threads that I like to put in some of my threads and the reply threads too.
I went straight to the help section and all I read was this.
“To include a picture or graphic within the body of your message, you can simply surround the address of the image as shown here”.
And so for the rest.
Is the hyperlink has to be included because I tried it once and it didn’t work. Tried it again and it didn’t work again. Please help as I want to show all you folks what I have got and a quick reference on what some one wants for an idea.
I am a computer knowlege person but this one has got me stuck.
Please help.
To include an image in a post which is on a website you use the IMG brackets. This can be slightly controversial if the image is on someone elses website, as it can use up some of their bandwidth. This is an example of how you can use it :
[lMG]http://www.windwand.co.nz/snapaug/0081x1.jpg[/lMG] You must make sure there are no spaces before or after the URL to the picture or else it will not appear properly on peoples screens. Newsgroup participants will see it as a link anyway and they can click if they want to see it. I don’t think Newsgroup readers see any of the BBCode things the same way as Unicyclist forum members. After being accused of polluting the RSU newsgroup I have tried to cut back on the amount of BBCode I use in the RSU section. Theres another way to post images without relying on another website’s bandwidth. You can click on browse at the Attach file part underneath where you are posting. Then choose a file from your computer and it will be attached to your post. Only one image per post can be done this way but it avoids the problem of thieving bandwidth. This is an example of an attached image :
And loving it…! No Samuel. The Digital camera has got a timer and I had to pose quickly for 10 seconds otherwise, I’ll lose it and had to be deleted it. The Digital Camera brand is a Richo Caplio RR30 worth about $900. but got a discount for a mere $700. I’m still Single and have soon to have a girlfriend. It’s on a Tripod that is about 40 years old and still in good nick with no rust or whatever. Thanks for the suggestion Samuel and keep your humor coming to me, I love it.
David.
P.S. That outfit is only new I just recently bought from Aldi Stores for a chuck-out price at $10.00. Which is a bargin.
