Google will be releasing a new url shortening service known as Goo.gl. Right now it is being used just in the google toolbar and the feedburner app but if they open it up to all uses then the future may not be looking too bright for Gilby’s TinyURL.
Just because google makes something doesn’t mean it will kill tinyurl.
Because of twitter there are only a milion new services exactly like this.
I’d be interested to see exactly how the site traffic has goneup or down depending on twitters popularity.
This is just a ploy by Google to try to get me to install their toolbar to be able to try the new service. Not gonna happen. Needing a special toolbar to use a web service is so 1999.
Amen to that. Never used a browser toolbar, except plug-ins to help with Web design or similar.
Just wanted to let you know, JC, that I saw a 5’ tall glass of Guinness dancing in the middle of the street in Rotorua today. Badly. I took a picture just for you, but can’t edit them until I get home. I’m shooting all RAW, and the computer we brought with us is a Dell Vostro A90 running Mac OS X 10.5. Works great but not much SSD space or power…
