comfort for my .......................

My “package” has been hurting while I ride my uni. I just got good so now I can ride for long distances and it is very uncomfortable.Should I wear a cup?

Re: comfort for my …

no wearing cups is evil… when i ride to football which is no more than a half of a mile… it hurts from the cup… jus nicely ajust yourself before sitting on the seat

AIRSEAT

First try bike shorts, if that doesn’t work for you then you may want to check out ‘The Champion Suspensory’ at jock international. (They aren’t pretty but they work.)

AIRSEAT

yes air seat

a lot of people are posting some nice comments about gel seats

Your first step should be to get a pair of cycling shorts. Ideally you’d want a pair of BibShorts.

What kind of riding do you do?

Beyond the seat any cycling shorts, I suggest that you take very short breaks. When we Coker, every few minutes (5 min) we all make a point to lift out of the saddle while riding. Keep the blood flowing to all parts of your body.

Airseats may not be the most comfortable. HERE’S some discussion.

Re: comfort for my …

no. jsut stop riding. we’re and elite core we have no room for babies. no really im kidding. im with unitik just be ‘adjusted’

As far as distance goes, I rode 65 miles on saturday, and 30 on sunday, using a standard Fusion seat. I dismounted and took a break about every 10 miles.
On saturday, my main discomfort was from going completely numb in that area, which started about 10 minutes into the ride, and pretty much just didn’t let up except for the breaks I took, though it occured again as soon as I started riding.

That evening, I moved the seat all the way back, so more of my weight would be on the wider part, with the front sticking up so it looked like it would be more painful. But, I also carved out a large hole in the foam where my parts could rest.
I didn’t go numb at all on Sunday, but not everything fit quite right in the hole I’d carved, pinching me a bit on the edge of the saddle (the edge of the hole), so now I’m dealing with some very painful blisters. Overall, not really an improvement, but I think it could be with a bit more work and design.

And don’t make the mistake of wearing anything under your bike shorts.

To prevent confusion: for that you need to move the seat FORWARD.
