Just thought I mite post some of the effects I’ve been adding to my clips in Sony Vegas. What do you think?

The effects I added were Red Midtones, Studio RGB to Computer RGB and a feathered Cookie Cutter.
i use powerdirector, and i usually just increase the saturation.
What’s the difference between Studio RGB and Computer RGB?
Haha, Studio RGB to Computer RGB is a single effect. Studio is what the camera captured and Computer is the color correction the computer does to make it look more like it did to the human eye, or better.
For my color correction in Vegas Pro, I use Studio RGB to Computer RGB in the Color Corrector (Secondary) effect, and Sony Unsharp Mask with Amount and Radius turned up about halfway, or whatever fits the shot… Looks magnificent.

Confused: Your before shot looks way better than the after. You like the after? As a high-contrast, intentional effect maybe, but definitely not true-to-life. Most of that is probably the Unsharp Mask though, not color.
I just use Colour Corrector and Colour Corrector (secondary) for any original filming just to give it that ‘better’ effect. I don’t usually tweak it unless it REALLY needs it.
I like that better for a still shot like that, but not for actual footage.
A good tip for color correction is to either hold up a white paper sometime during the shot or to find something white in the background and adjust the color so that it is pure white.
