colbert report -unicycles

i’m surprised nobody posted this.

…although it doesn’t need to be said, that traffic commissioner is a moron :stuck_out_tongue:

It’s been posted twice already. But it should be noted that we need morons to amuse us.

I was gonna post it

The premise is a bit odd. I have never heard of a pedestrian-uni accident. The cops here have only talked to me a couple times, always small talk. They seem unconcerned that I often ride on sidewalks, or on the left side of the road. Bike riders here do it to. We ride on the left on these small roads because we don’t want to get rear ended by DUI drivers. Cops here will cite you for driving at night without a light, but that’s about it. I think they prefer bikes to use the sidewalks. Cops see bike riders killed by drunks fairly often in my town. I read about bike and scooter fatalities often. There is a lot of tourists (lost drunks), and maybe more bike riders per capita than almost anywhere else. Only half my friends own a car. Lot’s of people who DUI out of driving (so many DUI’s they can’t get a licence) , come to live on little bike islands. Tricycles with can holders are also very common here.

Is there no place for a unicycle dog?

Even worse, I ALWAYS unicycle with my dog on leash.

Recently the police told me it was unsafe to do this on the sidewalk.

I told them: If you want to see unsafe, watch me unicycle in the street with my traffic-nervous dog.

Unicycling in the street with a dog can get a big unfriendly reaction from drivers. I must always keep on the traffic side of the dog.

I invited them to escort me in traffic. They understood.

That could have gone either way.

I could have hacked up a boulder and totaled their car:p
