The first photo was actually a quarter-pipe. The next four photos are of me riding up a ramp that is about 6’ high. This ramp is just the perfect pitch for riding up it on my Coker… but with the amount of speed I can get on my Coker, it would be nice if it were 10ft. - 12ft. high, instead of 6 feet!
daaaang, i believe you just invented a new X-Game sport!!
Actually, I do have a lot of ideas in that regard (an X-games sport… or at least a really cool Xtreme uni sport) and I’d love to get some feeback from my fellow aggressive one-wheelers. I think the Coker specifically (36" inflatable wheel unicycle for all you customizers who take offense to calling it a Coker) can be the vehicle that really captures the public eye because of it’s large size, yet excellent handling and maneuverability characteristics. I hope to post more photos and video soon, so that I can have a better context to discuss some of my ideas. I look forward to hearing your ideas…
Cool,but…
I dont think a coker would be the uni for somthing like that.
except just powering up and over the ramps.
A 20 or 24 inch would be better for tricks and manuverability.
although it would be great fun(ive never actually ridden a coker) i THINK that after a while people would get bored of wachting someone just ride up ramps,or watever your doing. You would almost have to have tricks and stuff.

You can do a heck of a lot more with a Coker than just power up and over ramps… and you’d be surprised how maneuverable it is… the greater speeds that are achievable on the Coker allow you to really bank it aggressively in turns. I intend to post some video soon that will demonstrate a bit of my current level of maneuverability on the Coker.

I have a few idea’s in mind. One woud incorporate smaller unis (for tricks and trials stuff) and Cokers… but I think there is a lot of potential for a sport that consists of just strictly Cokers. Again, the video that I’ll post should provide a better context for discussion… but think of the image of motorcycle road racing… only on Cokers… and indoors on a track with banked walls, ramps, and other obstacles possibly (such as see-saws, etc.). Straights for high speeds, S-turns, U-turns, and lots of banked turns… now think 16 Coker cyclists blitzkreiging into turn one! Still think you have to do tricks?
That’s assuming the reason you ride is for the entertainment of others…
HCR: really nice to see those shots. I am NOT bored by them.
nice pick i can respect that hehe i have been trying to get the funds up to repair my coker for quite some time hehe i tacoed mine about 2 years ago trying to do a root drop in to a stream of about 2 feet look somting like this

Thanks a lot, Tom. I hope to have some video up sometime next week. Tricks are always fun to watch… but based on the reactions I’ve generated from people who see me ride about 20mph through NYC (straights), weaving in and out of cars and around obstacles on my Coker, it seems to get an even greater reaction than doing many tricks because non-unicyclists don’t seem to have as much of an appreciation for tricks as do riders. A lot of people really flip out when they see me hook a turn on the Coker. I don’t think they expect me to turn… and then they see me bank it over… and I hear “Holy S#@T!, did you see that?” or some similar reaction. I love to do tricks, too, and to watch others do tricks… but I think the public loves to see things that are “fast” or can go “high” (like, up a ramp)… or anything else that involves an apparent element of danger and has good visual appeal (like Andrew Carter’s riding on that rail… check out his video), which makes me think that the Coker has a lot of potential to be used in a uni sport that the public would enjoy watching.

Thanks, Nate! I hope you can get your Coker fixed, soon! The holidays are just around the corner…
