Coker in the Newspaper

Hi everyone!

The local newspaper (Tulsa OK USA) ran a story and picture on me in
today’s paper.

If anyone has any trouble with this link, let me know and I’ll copy the
story for them.

Great article Mark!

(use it today, most newspapers change current article links daily)

Congratulations on your successful exercise program. You sure do make your Coker
look small though…

I tried it just now (9:00 am Pacific), and it still works. Make sure your
browser has the whole URL in there…

Nice article! About the news though. I’m getting filmed next Wednesday for a
local news story (2 min lifestyles segment). Got it from a post looking for
unicyclists on a local announcements newsgroup!

You should all try this as well to help promote uni! (The announcement that
is)

Dang!! I get a 404 on that URL. Must be too old… Do they have an archive site
somewhere?

Re: Coker in the Newspaper

Well…looks like I spoke too soon. Left that Netscape in the background while I
read more news and somehow it reloaded (after I’d already tried that 2-3 times
unsuccessfully…) and I got the article.

Cool stuff, Mark! Congratulations on the publicity! Sounds like they were pretty
nice to ya in that one, didn’t treat you like a weirdo or freak or anything.

I took a little spin on the Coker at lunchtime yesterday. First time I’ve had it
out in awhile, for some reason I’ve been more interested in the 24" lately.
Anyway, I rode by some construction workers sitting in a truck near a job and
heard one of them say “If that’s how you want to travel, I guess…” That kind
of cracked me up.

Still worked for me. However, here is another similar URL that might work for
you: http://search.tulsaworld.com/archivesearch/default.asp?WCI=DisplayStory&ID-

If that doesn’t work, do a search in there archives at:

Re: Coker in the Newspaper

Hey Mark, Cool story. Congrtaulations. I was wondering if we’re still up for the
Oklahoma MS150 ride in September? If so can you send me a registration form? My
address is: Ashton Joseph Greig III 6718 Silvermine Dr. #1601 Austin, Tx 78736
Keep riding and riding and riding… etc.

Ausin One Wheeler, Aj

p.s. Our group got three more Coker riders this past week bringing our grand
total to ten big wheels in Austin, I believe.

Re: Coker in the Newspaper

Hey Mark, That’s a supercool idea. I am completely up for it even if you were
just joking. If you’re serious we could keep an eye out for rides that are in
driving distance in the near by states. Later, Cross Country Cokerhead.
