Coker calibration

Has anyone else added a cyclometer to their Coker? I put on an Avocet 25 which
has all the basic functions you need, and can even be read while riding,
although that’s not the safest thing to do.

This morning we did a careful calibration and here’s the setting that resulted:
2771mm/revolution. On the Avocet, you just enter this number directly (it’s max
is 3000mm, so it would work for somewhat larger wheels).

This number is for a 165lb rider (75kg), with tire pressure at 34 psi,
slightly above the recommended 32, and was the result of multiple measurements
of the distance covered while riding 6 revolutions (average was 645.5" which
gives 2771mm).

They do make wireless cyclometers for mountain bikes, I see them all the time in
the woods. Put sender on wheel, cyclometer on arm like wristwatch… They guys
I talked to told me that the wireless versions do’t transmit very far, but dont
have the wires to deal with in the woods

I measured mine out to be 2818 mm, but I also have my tire over inflated to
about 45 or 50 psi… I also weigh a little less too.
