Our island hosts a 33-mile bike ride that usually attracts a few thousand
Seattle folks. I think Dan Heaton unicycled it last year. I’m not sure whether
John Childs has unicycled it.
My house is on the route, and we could host any hardy unicyclists who want to
ride it–or part of it. People could stay at my place, we could ride some trails
or road ride on Saturday, then do some Chilly Hilly on Sunday. I’ve been doing
10-mile loops, but I doubt I’ll be up for the whole thing–it’s a killer.
Typical Chilly Hilly weather is low 40’s with rain, but this year we’ve been
getting high 40s and sun breaks. Let me know if you’re interested. I can pick
you up at the ferry. If you have a mother-in-law in Poulsbo, we can keep your
visit a secret.

No, that’s my Grand mother-in-law in Poulsbo. Soon to be a great-great,
by the way!
I can’t make it but it sounds like a great fitness ride. Unicycles are
slow enough to keep you plenty warm on a cold day. I hope you get some
takers on the ride!

Re: Chilly Hilly on Feb 25
I’m game! I hope it’s not too hilly for a Coker
And you’re right, the weather this year has been great. I’ve been out riding
(including muni) every weekend since early November. It’s incredible. The
Twin City club should relocate over here in Seattle. We’ve got year round
Of course, now that I’ve said that it’s probably going to be a cold, windy
monsoon on Feb 25th.
