Does anyone here play chess, I ask because I’m just getting back into it as a new guy at work plays and I’ve been playing him at lunchtime and have got back into practicing on the chess computer, it certainly makes you focus and concentrate and plan ahead, a bit like muni in a way.
I play. Used to play a lot in college, then dropped it for years. Now playing again with my son. Taught him when he was 7.
Our connection to muni is we like to ride our munis together through the woods a few miles to a local coffee shop, then play a game or two of chess, then ride home.
Me and my bro play speed chess, it’s timed so each guy has a maximum of 5 minutes of playing time, first one who runs out of time first looses.

I have always known pretty much how to play, and had a few games but only really been playign a bit this year, at my new school in the chess club! My friends signed me up one day when we went to watch, so yeah okay I tried
Its fun… and that’s about it, im not too bad but mainly its just for something to do, fun social…
Learning all the different strategies is good, there is actually quite alot to read up on it, but i find just playing for practice is good.
