This is a question for all of you chess players out there. I am looking for a good chess clock for around $40. I was just wondering if any of you have personal use of certain brands. I would like to get on for Christmas. Thanks. Kelly.

Good thing you Bumped, I hadn’t seen this thread.

I looked for chess clocks for quite some time before I came across this site and ordered the $59.95 version (same as the $45 but wood not plastic)

It is a fine clock, I recommend it

Talk about chess, hmmmmm.

I was playing one time. and I was able to take the guy’s horse thing, and then I thought my pointy guy would be safe, but then other guy’s castle ate me.

I’ve been keeping my eyes open for a chess clock, but can’t understand why they are so expensive, they’re only two alarm clocks stuck together, I need one because the bloke I play at work only seems to win when he spends ages over his moves.

OH man I remeber when I played chess. My USCF rating was around 1200 I think…I wasn’t that good.
I had some friends w/ 2100 ratings and 1800’s
I had a Chronos clock, great clock but it was 99 bucks
I stopped playing chess about a year ago, so i dont’ really know wha

I used to play at school, but not of course as an expert. I think my board is still somewhere at my sister’s house. Whether her kids have left the stones in the box in sufficiently useful numbers seems doubtful.
