The fat cats at Halliburton love this war.

As do their shareholders.

I realize making money isn’t against the law, but these guys should only be allowed to collect their profits in ass-pennies and pooh-dollars.

That’s funny, and yet…I have to go wash my hands.

Not to jack the thread, but did you see today’s NYTimes front page?

First, the USA does not control even Baghdad–the insurgents do!!

Second, the USA wasted so much in taxpayer $$ in Iraq because many of the contractors were there idle for 9 months getting paid, doing nothing!!

Funny, all the Republicans are mad at Bush for making a speech today, saying he was changing course so the Republicans might win something in the midterm elections, and he blew it!!!

Honest Leadership and Accountability in Contracting Act of 2006

One of my parental units works for Halliburton. I feel so guilty everytime I have dinner or receive birthday gifts.

Yea, but Haliburton is like evil. None of the money goes to real people. It just goes to the evil ones who are profiting from war. Yep that’s right evil war profiteering white men. Oh yea and they have no bid contracts, and they are making money from oil, and polluting the world, and they probably are killing children and women every chance they get. I am being sarcastic by the way. Just in case it isn’t clear with my smiley.

I had a bad feeling they’d die. They worked when I posted them. :frowning:

Go to Thomas which is the Library of Congress’ legislative tracking service. Type profiteering in the Search Bill text box and you’ll get the two above bills as results.

Workers have littel chioce these days, with greater unemployment under Bush.

Haliburton is prolly like Wal-Mart, where the people at the top make in a day what the average worker makes in a lifetime.

Besides, most of haliburton earned money being idle for 9 months.
