The Toronto Unicyclists hosted a unicycle week-end in Toronto on October
19th and 20th. Team Semcycle and RTUC members came from Michigan… and
the awesome unicycling twins, Cindy and Cynthia from Quebec join us for
a fun filled 2 days.
Saturday we played unicycle basketball, did unicycle sumo wrestling, and
then unicycle hockey with a flaming puck ! (Yes, the puck was on fire
! I invented it a few years ago. It was a big hit at UNICON this
summer.) We had a big feast with lots of food after the gym events.
After dinner we played Whirly-ball at a local amusement center. (That’s
bumper car / trac-ball / basketball all combined.)
Sunday we rode and raced on the “Moon” just outside Toronto. We had a
blast riding down the Badland’s red clay hills. You have to see them in
person to really get the feel for them. They formed themselves over the
last 50 years or so.
We made the local paper while we were there and the police had me in
hand cuffs as well.
We will be hosting another unicycle week-end next year. Thanks to
everyone who attended.
Sorry about the double posting… I didn’t think it went through.
Something must have gone wrong… it posted it way back with May 2002 posts.
Any idea why ?

That sounds very BUC esque, a lot of fun and not too much serious
stuff. Hope the plans for future fun uni weekends come off OK.
