Check out these pictures !

Here are some pictures from the RIT juggle-in where Charles did the 5
foot drop off the stage on his trials unicycle and destroyed the wheel.
Charles asked me to look at his unicycle because it was making some
noise. I hopped on and within a few seconds knew what was wrong. I
showed him the spokes were really loose. I said he should have the
spokes tightened. I didn’t have any tools with me to help him out. He
still wanted to do the drop anyway. I told him not to because the spokes
as loose as they were would pull through the rim. I didn’t expect 25
spokes would pull through !

I bet it was a croud pleaser. Made me sick to my stumach to see, though. Was he hurt in anyway? I can’t see how he managed to smile -I’d be in tears.

Is that a KH frame, or one of yours, Darren?

Great pics, thanx.

It was a crowd pleaser. He got a big cheer ! About 30 seconds after he
crushed the rim the tube exploded with a big bang. It sounded like a gun
shot.
He wasn’t hurt at all. When he landed both pedals were on the floor !
That frame is a KH20.

Cheers,

Darren

hey, cool pics! where did he ride off of? the stage? seeing what it did to his wheel made me think twice before riding off the thing im sitting on in the pic below…

hehe, thanks for the warning.

Jess

are you whale watching up there, unijess?

If you look at the pic of me and the uni, you can see a stage in the back. I just dropped off from there, and BOOM! that was the end of it…

/Charles/

oh man

that makes me sick to the stomach! Its pretty rare in the trials bike world that someone will destroy a monty rim like that. Damn, remeber to check those spokes on your next one!
