great cause, have luck fun to you!
Thanks .Were hoping its not going to snow.Seeing your in Tassie do you uni in the snow?
I wish i could, i’ve never ridden in the snow, let alone see snow.
no problem, i would chip in but i am suffering financial problems of my own at the moment.
Yes! i have snow Uni’d a few times. Best time was up the top of mount Gumboot(Wellington)! Trialsing about on snowman bodies.
Oh that sounds awsome.I’d love to ride in the snow one day but I think the charity ride is not the time to do it as we want to finish what we start and it would be way too tempting to play around if it snowed.
dont worry about not being able to chip in, hope your own finances improve soon you sound really nice so I hope some good luck comes your way.So far weve raised $666 and with some serious leg work over the next few weeks I’m sure we can bring in more.will keep you updated.Cheers.
We have raised $850.00 to date and our target is $5000.
wow I’d contribute, but I am very poor at the moment. I hope it will go to a good cause and help a lot, two of my cousins have dies before their first birthdays :(. I really hope you raise a lot of money had have great fun too!
I’m so sorry to hear about your cousins. The starlight foundation does really great work in the hospitals with kids and teenagers. They provide special fun rooms within the hospitals where the sick kids can escape to and feel “normal” for a while and not have to think about their illnesses. As some kids can be in hospital for a really long time its really important for them to have that escape. And they provide entertainment and visiting clowns etc and as we all know laughter really is the best medicine. They also help terminally ill children realise their dreams, whether its meeting a favourate sports star, going to disneyland or having a nice dinner out with their family.A friend of the familys little girl died of a malignent tumor when she was 11.The starlight foundation helped out the family in so many ways including a holiday to disneyland. Its a memory the family treasures and its something they couldnt afford to do on their own as they both stopped work to be with their daughter during her illness.I feel happy that we can do this and that some really deserving families will benefit. It will be great fun for us to do this trip and I hope that some of the kids who are in hospital will fully recover to one day do this type of adventure themselves. For me the best adventure is the one wheeled kind.
Still time to put smiles on sick children’s faces.
So donate away.
We’ve finished the ride.
