changing torker lx saddle to nimbus gel

I’m interested in changing my Torker LX saddle to a Nimbus gel.
Looks like I need to get a new seatpost as (I think) the Torker
seatpost is not compatible.

Should I get the adjustable seatpost and adapter, or just a new fixed
seatpost? Is it worth the extra $30?

It’s not clear to me on the UDC website which seatpost fits the Nimbus Gel
saddle, so I guessed. Is there someplace where interchangability of
parts is documented?

Or should I just add gel to my existing Torker seat. How difficult is this?

Finally, can I take the handle and rear bumper off my Torker LX saddle
and put them on the Nimbus? I’d like to limit the pavement damage to my
old handle and bumper while I am still learning

New fixed seatpost

Nimbus Gel saddle --------------- $39
Kris Holm seatpost (compatible?) – $19
----
$58

adjustable seatpost

Nimbus Gel saddle ------------ $39
Kris Holm Rail adapter --------- $29
Kris Holm Rail-Type Seat Post – $19
----
$87

Thanks,
Tom

the Kh seatpost won’t fit your frame. I think that the GB4 will.
get the fixed seatpsot. the nimbus gel seat is great. well worth $40

which seatpost?

The GB4 is listed as compatible with the Torker seat on the UDS website. If this is true, why do I need a new seatpost?

I would recomend this seat post. The united seatpost is cheap, just as strong as the others, and you can get it in the correct size. You would want it at 25.4 mm diameter and if you didn’t have to cut your torker LX seatpost at all, and you don’t want it any higher then you will want it 300 mm long, which will bring the total cost of the seatpost to 12 dollars.

Nimbus Gel saddle ---------------- $39
Kris Holm seatpost (compatible?) – $12

$51

You don’t need an adjustable seatpost, especialy not on a freestyle unicycle. It just isn’t practical and in my opinion a waste of money.

I love my nimbus and adaptor setup
