Central/Eastern CT

I’m going to be in Columbia, CT for Thanksgiving and am looking for some trail suggestions. If you know of any decent single-track post it here.

I should be able to sneak away from the family for a few hours, so if you’d like to join me for a ride on Friday, feel free to PM me.

Also a reminder that on Sunday the 25th is the Giving Thanks Mountain Bike Race in Schenectady, NY. This will be the second race of the season with a dedicated Uni category. I know there will be at least 3 unis, so if you’re in the Northeast, come out and join us for some muddy muni fun!!!

I live in Manchester, CT and the best place I know of around here for muni is Case Mountain. It is moderately challenging and consists of over 20 or so miles of singletrack. For more information go here or here.

im from canturbury connecticut…killingly area…some nice trails in goodwin park in windham which is right near columbia!

Gay City State Park has some nice intermediate trails. Pachaug State Forest on the RI border has many miles of dirt roads and single track. Bluff Point Reserve on the eastern shore is great for intermediate MUni.

Thanks for all of the suggestions. I ended up riding at Mansfield hollow dam. Some pretty decent trails with lots of roots that made for some fun descents! If it hadn’t been so cold from the wind coming off the water, I would have stayed for a couple more hours to check out some of the side trails.

My nephews and I rode there on MBs one summer. It was a good time!
