Carban Fiber seat questions

I recently went off a four foot drop, and somehow bent the front of my Miyata seat down. I’m going to get a Carbon Fiber seat base to replace it, and I have a few questions about it:

I read somewhere that you can drill the holes to bolt the seat post on closer to the back end of the seat, so that the front tilts up. Kris Holm had his seat tilted up like that (he had the Wilder rail bracket), and it was very comfortable. Anyway, my question is if I drill the holes farther back, will it affect how it feels to ride at all? Also, if I ever do get the Wilder rail bracket, will it be a bad thing to have it attached farther back?

Thanks for any help!

I ended up drilling my carbon fiber seat for 3 different positions:
normal, a bit back, way back. Now I use the Wilder bracket, so it’s easier
to adjust during a ride. The carbon fiber seat is very tough. A few extra
holes don’t matter at all.

The effect of tipping the seat is to put more of your weight onto your
tailbones–where it belongs. It can be a bit harder to mount at first.
