You’ve just got to cycle fast, then let go. I’m not trying to be funny.
As long as you’ve got enough speed, if you let go of the handles and get
past the initial second or so of wobbling, you should be able to do it
first time. It’s just confidence you need.

And of course, if it doesn’t work out, he probably won’t be in any condition
to argue with you.

Most people are dumb as bricks; some people are dumber than that.

hm. i thought that’s what we were talking about. did you think i was referring to juggling on a bike?

(to go back to topic)
i used to be able to ride without hands. then i stopped riding for a few years. then i tried to do it. i wasn’t able to do it. i haven’t been on a bike long enough recently to try it again. i did ride for 15 minutes on a bike. the cranks felt incredibly short, and it just felt so odd not getting full extension. or sitting up straight. that felt weird too.

I don’t think shes on the group, but, I seem to remember hearing that
kayliegh Grainger didn’t learn to ride a bike. It didn’t seem to to stop
her unicycling very competantly indeed!

ditto. But I persisted and I’m back to no handed bike riding, BUT now I
pedal whilke I’m doing it. I used to tend to coast no handed. These days
I’ll sit up staright, in a farily high gear and crank those pedals round
hard. It feels a bit like uniing:-)
