He’s spamming threads like crazy, being rude to a lot of members.
Yeah. Everyone can put him on their ignore list. That’s what I did with both him and Any Terrain.
The problem with that is that other people still have to deal with him being extreamly annoying (in my opinion). These people for some reason don’t have him on their ignore list; I don’t know if they know how to use it or something like that.
Someone’s angry and needs a hug
What MORE do I have to do to get a “Can we please do something about GILD, mods/admins?” thread of my own?!?
Nothing
I’m not sure how serious this thread is, but Dane… you really have been posting a lot.

You need to get a hobby. Have you tried unicycling?
I’ve been doing a ton of work on my computer, and occasionaly web browsing to keep me sane. That is why so many posts. Also it is raining =/
Oh dear - he’s a fair weather unicyclist
Every time I’ve been out on a muni ride with other people since September it’s been either raining or snowing (snow on the ground at least). It’s looking up for this coming Sunday though
Please don’t project your issues onto me.
I’d have that many posts but I hit about 10 forums a day. I have to make sure I spread my spamming around.
haha, I did go out for a ride today in a heavy fog and a light sprinkle, I have mud on my pants now in the shape of a uni-seat. But it has been absolutely pouring the rest of the time, and I only have a rain jacket, no rain pants.
But I’ve been cooped up in the house this last week doing work all day every day on my computer, and I’m going crazy, so if it’s not extremely windy tomorrow, I’ll probably put on some old funky clothes and go destroy some mud holes.
I apologize to you that live in harsh weather areas, you’re out riding in blizzards and I’m inside hiding from a little rain.
We were forecast to get snow at my house, so I’m hoping for that, could make for a cool uni video, since we don’t get snow often.
EDIT: (I do edit quite a bit you’ll notice)
Thanks for the support friend I do have an incredible talent for not being able to keep my mouth shut. But part of the last few days posts counts is attributed to the few drama threads that I had the extreme pleasure of being part of. (sarcasm of course)
People in general need to care less about post counts, I don’t visit the most replys threads or anything, if you want to complain about post counts do it in those threads. I am always relevant, and when I’m not being informative, I’m asking questions or offering encouragement and compliments
I’m a good person.
.
lolwut
I’m a software engineer and I wrote a tool to count posts per day.
Dane, here are some of your recent numbers:
2011-02-24: 50 posts
2011-02-21: 52 posts
2011-02-20: 45 posts
2011-02-19: 57 posts
2011-02-18: 58 posts
That’s out of control.
Yes, informative and relevant.
Ooh! Me too! Care to share your tool?
I’ve got access to a couple supercomputers and think I have enough HP to count Terry’s posts. Would love to give 'er a whirl.
Also, I’d love to re-institute the annual RSU statistics formerly posted by Klaas Bil. Gotta keep the torch burning brightly!
Uhh. I think your tool is also counting edits.
I just threw the tool together. It’s a WPF windows app.
You have to give it the initial search URL resulting from the Find all posts by <user> link in the user’s profile, and the number of search pages to read.
It just gets each page and parses it in a very hard-coded way, waiting 5 seconds between requests to be friendly to the server, and accumulates the results.
It’s of course a very inefficient way to get this info, but without access to the forum database, I don’t know any other way. Hitting the forum server with a bunch of page requests isn’t very friendly, so I’m not going to post it here openly.
If you still want it, let me know, and I’ll email it to you.
