camping

I’m going camping with my dad today! it’s an 8 hour drive so we’ll get there tomorrow, but there will be a lake and we can have a campfire. It’s going to be tons of fun. Who here likes going camping?

I love camping…Next to riding its my favourite thing to do. Campfires, fishin, drinking with your best buddies(or your dad). The best times of my life were had while camping!!

i love camping! nature is groovy. but seriously, i go camping at least once a year up at mt. katahdin, then we climb it. i’m spending a week this summer up in northern maine at moosehead lake, we go around the lake in two 12 ft long rowboats. there’s usually 24 of us in all. good time. everyone should camp

I love “family-style” camping or whatever it’s called. The kind of camping where you drive you car right into the campsite and UNLOAD (the mansion-sized tent, the giant cooler, the big camping stove, lots of cookware, etc). Now that’s REAL camping! Especially when there’s electricity! I like to bring my pizza cooker (once, I even brought my vegetable juicer).

I don’t like the kind of camping where you have to carry everything on your back and sleep in a tiny little tent. Too much hardship. Not enough fun. No bathrooms or electricity.

I’m going to a campsite ten minutes from the beach and boardwalk on Friday. I’ll split my time between camping and going to the boardwalk, the rides, and the beach. I have a big tent that I used last year, but I’m renting a cabin this time. Air conditioned! Now that’s camping in luxury.

Have fun! Enjoy making a fire and listening to the night sounds (the crickets, tree frogs, etc). Don’t forget to pack the unicycles!

We’re heading out for a 5-day camping trip for the July 4th weekend at Kings Camp again. We’ll be out with Ashley and her family. It’s a great place about 20 minutes from home, far enough away to be a million miles from anywhere yet close enough to run back into town for Brad to deliver the Sunday morning newspaper.

Here’s photos from our camping trip last July 4th weekend. Fun picture of Clyde the parade monkey in the set. Also make sure you see Steve’s 15’ tall water balloon launcher. Fun stuff! The balloons really sting the palms when caught after they return from orbit.

‘Roughing it’ is when the hotel doesn’t have 24hr room service.

I LOVE camping, and much more particularily, backpacking.

I don’t consider RVs or Trailers to be camping. Sleeping in a tent in the glorified parking lot they call a campground barely cuts it.

I prefer it to be a place where the only running water is a glacier fed river, and I had to carry everything I brought on my back. Now that’s camping. (Oh, and it should at least be an 8 hour hike up)

these holidays im going camping on moreton island. its got a dessert in the middle of it where you can go sand boarding which is always fun to do. its gonna be heaps of fun cause theres like 20 or so of us going and for a week we fish, sand board, go wind surfing and 4WDing.

I dislike camping. I can never sleep and it’s cold. My hubby and son love it.

We go camping about once a month in the summer. That’s the price I pay for having a hubby that is extremely tolerant of my abandoning the family in favour of unicycling.

Cathy

Cath, if your always cold, persuade you husband to buy you a more expensive sleeping bag! I’m sure you would be warm in a sleeping bag that is rated for use in -20 degrees!

I will be heading out to the mountains of New Mexico for this kind of camping in about a month. I did a 30-mile, 2-day backpacking trip last summer in the mountains of New Mexico. It was a challenge but very rewarding. Incredible mountain vistas.

campings great. Last summer my family drove to Banff from Winnipeg and we camped along the way. I like being outside, by the water etc

I love to camping!
I always camp in the Juggling Conventions
its really fun when you have your friends and the nature

have fun

Me and my friends go camping pretty much in the summer. And every year our whole family goes camping around the 4th of July.

The last time i went camping was about 3 weeks ago with my friend and we had our little fire in the middle of the woods and didn’t even bring a tent. We just layed outside all night in our sleeping bags. It was so cold. We got up at 5:00am and just froze untill about 8:00am when we went back to my house to un-freeze.

Are u gonna do any hunting or shooting? Cuz dang i do alot of shooting stuff around here. It sure adds to the fun when camping. Fishing is fun when there is fish to fish for.

Its pretty fun to have a dirtbike also. Me and my friend Dan have dirtbikes and we go on the trails and ride all day untill night when we go back to our sleeping bags and chill. Fireworks help kill some time. Launch a few bottle rockets off and firecrackers…mmm…fun fun fun!

I love camping!!!

I like haivng the campgrounds and whatnot, and using my huge tent, and all the electricty and whatnot, but I also like real camping, where there is no electricity and whatnot.

One thing I really like, is what me and my friend call suburban camping, grab a tent, pick a random spot, set it up, camp there, pack it up and leave in the morning. Last time I did that was in front of a church, its pretty fun, I need a new location now.

Later this summer we’re going to load kids and equipment on the bikes and ride around for a week.
Someone has had the great idea of making a network of small primitive tent sites which are usually well within bikeing distance of eachother.
