Yo,
I fashioned a collapsible pole to mount my GoPro on out of 3 pvc pipes that can be screwed together/taken apart and stuffed in my camel back.
I really like the angle.
Has anyone made a “hands free” setup for filming 3rd person, leaving the Uni in the same place throughout the shot? I’d like to experiment with a rig so I could feel more comfortable on more technical sections.
Thanks,
I used the search but didn’t find what I was looking for.
Here’s a sample pic of what I got today:
I have been thinking about this lately, and I came across this rig for small cameras: http://www.personalcamerabuddy.com/
Has enyone here tried it?
It’s a bit expensive for me with shipping and norwegian taxes ($298), so I think I will experiment with som other ideas first.
The price might be a problem, but these look cool:
Yes and yes. The Airdog looks very nice, but for now I’ll have to use my real dog. I’ve bought a GoPro Fetch dog harness that I will try out. All I have to do now is teach the dog to follow me :p. I also have an idea for a cheap uni camera rig. If it works out, I will report back.
The camera rig idea worked out ok. I used a pole that is ment for teaching kids to ride bikes and straightened it out. The good thing about it, is that it has a quick release and fit a seat post. You can very easily take it on/off an change the angle. At the end of the pole I attatched a “GoPro Jaws Flex Clamp” with the camera. On my 29’er I didn’t even notice it, but it wasn’t muni - I’ll try that later. Here is the video I made: "Walking the dog" + testing GoPro Hero 4 Silver and a camera rig
