Terry- I do not use PC, but I will try and help.

If you do not already capture your footage as a .wmv file that should work for you. I guess WMM will keep interlaced footage interlaced if you capture as AVI, but will de-interlave automatically if you capture as WMV… Hope this helps…

Can you please link me the source to that, citing that MM will do that?

I capture and save as wmv. capturing in avi creates HUGE files and takes up tons of hd space.

haha so complicated! But I’ll try it. Lately, I’ve been saving my MM videos in 720 HD, and even though I use an entry level, (non-HD) camcorder, and the footage is not de-interlaced, the quality is still way better than normal YT quality. And unless I stop the action at certain points of movements, I don’t really notice any interlacing and the video looks very clean and smooth. But yeah, I really want to step up to an HD camcorder, and get a good pro editing program that will de-interlace simply by checking a box!
