I never thought I’d be watching syndicated TV shows anymore, didn’t bother to hook an antenna to my HDTV, didn’t order cable.
But then I stumbled across Hulu. The archives are massive. I watched some Buck Rogers the other night, followed by an episode of the new Battlestar Galactica. What don’t they have?
There’s even full-length movies on there!
I just wanted to share this gem with everyone… Dr. Horrible’s Sing-along Blog. It’s 45ish minutes in total, and it’s a complete riot.
Anyone else been watching Hulu? What’s your favorite series? Please share.
My wife’s been watching a fair amount of stuff on Hulu lately - a variety from The Daily Show to America’s Toughest Jobs. I recommend Arrested Development if you missed it the first time around.
Now we know the real reason why Comcast just instituted download caps. Can’t have everyone getting high bandwidth entertainment from the Internet that competes with cable TV.
I relived my young adulthood by watching (first) Point Break, the Keanu & Swazey (sp?) surfer flick, and then a bunch of Miami Vice episodes. But that was a few months ago now. I’ll have to go back and give it another try. I’d like to see some BSG (have Netflix, but only rabbit ears on the tvs–so no cable).
Comcast has always had limitations, they just finally publicly came out with it instead of sticking to the “Unlimited” service said in their commercials.
Ill just stick to torrenting dvd series. Same thing, except I get all the episodes and dont have to stream each one.
The “good thing” about Hulu is that you don’t have to hunt for a torrent, and you’re guaranteed a certain level of quality. You’re also guaranteed that your episodes aren’t over-dubbed in Swedish and mislabeled (that’s happened to me more than once).
There still are a good number of series that aren’t on Hulu, or some that are incomplete. This is where I’ll turn to torrents. But you have to admit, on-demand programming kicks some serious ass.
