Tis interesting though that the President had his watch on later in the day. If it was stolen then what watch is he wearing. I doubt the President travels with two wrist watches in his luggage. Unless one of his staff loaned him their watch.

On the NBC Nightly News it was reported that Bush took the watch off himself and put it in his pocket. They also showed convincing video of this taking place.
“But White House spokesman Tony Snow said Bush’s watch was not stolen by someone in the crowd. “The president put it in his pocket and it returned safely home,” Snow said in Washington.”
The above words may be the only truth spoken by Tony Snow in his tenure as White House spokesman. (Yeah, I had to get a dig in.)
